Economics BS

Program Purpose

The Department of Economics is committed to the Mission and Aims of Brigham Young University. The department can best meet these objectives by focusing exclusively upon undergraduate education. It is our objective to maintain a curriculum that will provide our majors with an undergraduate education in economics comparable to the best in the country. A careful study of economics will help students make better decisions in their personal lives and gain a deeper understanding of the world in which they live. Students trained in economics will be in a position to understand the costs and benefits of any situation, thus facilitating more effective decision making.
