At their best, they are clear, meaningful, and aligned with essential learning: they guide teaching, shape assessment, and help faculty and students focus on the purposes of a BYU education.

Program Stewardship is BYU’s annual process for strengthening academic programs through purposeful, evidence-informed reflection and action. At its best, Program Stewardship helps faculty and program leaders consider student learning, the learning environment, and how the program adapts over time in meaningful, forward-looking ways. More than a check-the-box activity, it fosters a culture of evidence-based progress while also supporting accreditation and university review.
