Art Education MA

Program Purpose


 Designed for education professionals, this program is intended to give students deeper understanding of historical trends in the field and prepare them for research, scholarly writing and leadership. This program develops each student's artistic practice within the context of current issues in contemporary art. Student gain stronger ties to art educational organizations and scholarly networks through writing, conferences, professional involvement and service. Students conduct reflective research and explore topics of consequence in art and education.

Studio Practice

Students will further develop their personal artistic practice in relation to current discourses related to contemporary art and  their own pedagogy.
